Law of Attraction

Often I get people asking me what the Law of Attraction is. Since the popularity of the movie, The Secret, people are more familiar with the idea of the Law of Attraction. Countless books, articles, workshops, seminars have been given since that time, but still people find it a bit confusing or difficult to understand.

There is a difference between Life Coaching and Law of Attraction Life Coaching. Law of Attraction Life Coaches see our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, behaviors, and life in a slightly different way. We help our coaching clients learn to use the Law of Attraction to get what they want in life. Whether their desire is a new position, an amazing relationship, money or abundance of any kind, the same law applies. We can also show clients how they may be sabotaging their own success. You see, the Law of Attraction is at work whether or not you consciously use it. So it makes sense to understand it and learn to harness the power and make it work for you.

One of my clients was working in a job she absolutely hated. The small retail business she worked in was owned by a family of people who were condescending, verbally abusive and downright spoiled. Their daily behavior had this otherwise wonderful woman questioning herself and her abilities. And she was very unhappy.

After working with her, I was able to reframe her thoughts and “remember” who she really was. She had a basic understanding of the Law of Attraction, but we worked together to apply the principles. Together we reframed her thoughts with regard to how she viewed herself and her abilities. Then we worked on her idea of an ideal life and the ways in which to apply the Law of Attraction to get the life she really wanted.

In a matter of six months, she was able to let go of that job she thought she couldn’t do without and pursue opening her own business. She now has a small office doing something she loves and helping others. She has experienced an understanding of applying the law and a peace she never knew. She credits the work we did together as the defining moment between confusion and clarity.

At first, she said it was me. Yes, to some degree, I guess you could say that. But my real job is bringing out the best in others. Finding what empowers them. My job is to teach, guide and support the person to self-awareness and happiness. Every time I see her, I am happy to be a Coach.
